Gitcoin is an open source donation project based on Ethereum. As a donation platform, Gitcoin has raised early funds for many excellent projects, and these projects have also issued airdrops to donating users, such as GTC, ENS, BrightID, etc.
Gitcoin Passport is a Web3 authentication aggregator launched by Gitcoin that can collect verifiable credentials to prove user identity and credibility while protecting user privacy.
In addition to the upcoming Gitcoin 18th round of donations, we also found that other projects are slowly beginning to adopt Gitcoin Passport scores as verification thresholds, such as the recently popular Cyberconnect, Linea, Taiko and other projects, so improving the score has become a top priority.
Since everyone's situation is different, the projects that can be verified are also different. In addition, the verification rules of some projects have also changed, so we have released this Gitcoin Passport Ultimate Score Tips.
Among all the verification tasks, there are relatively simple off-chain identity authentications, such as Twitter accounts and Facebook accounts. We will just briefly touch upon this part of the verification.
In addition, we will introduce and demonstrate slightly more complicated tasks, and hope it will be helpful to you.
Gitcoin Passport:https://passport.gitcoin.co/#/dashboard
1. Simple account verification (17.657 points)
Account verification includes Twitter, Google, Discord, Github, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This type of verification is relatively simple and users only need to prepare these accounts in advance.
Twitter (3.63 min)
Accounts older than 180 days: 1.21 points
Accounts older than 1 year: 1.21 points
Accounts older than 2 years: 1.21 points
Google (2.25 min)
Discord (0.689 min)
Github (7.26 min)
Accounts older than 3 months: 1.21 points
Accounts older than half a year: 1.21 points
Accounts older than one year: 1.21 points
Contribution days more than 1 month: 1.21 points
Contribution days more than 2 months: 1.21 points
Contribution days more than 4 months: 1.21 points
Facebook (1.378 points)
Account: 0.689 points
Set avatar: 0.689 points
LinkedIn (2.45 points)
Among them, Github and LinkedIn accounts are more difficult to register and easily blocked, so you must pay more attention when verifying.
2. GTC Staking (7.44 points)
$GTC is Gitcoin’s own token. This task requires users to purchase GTC for staking. Different types of staking will have corresponding score rewards.
Self GTC Staking means staking $GTC to yourself and getting points for yourself;
Community GTC Staking When others stake $GTC to you, you get points, but others do not get points.
The latter gives more points, but it is more difficult because others will not pledge their tokens to you for no reason, especially under this kind of pledge, others will not get any points.
Please note that after staking the tokens here, there will be a 90-day staking cycle. Only after this cycle is over can the stake be withdrawn or re-staked. This cycle is from June to September.
But when you withdraw the tokens, the points generated by GTC staking will disappear.
If your GTC tokens are specifically used to obtain points, it is recommended that you choose to re-stake after expiration.
Staking address:

125 GTC (Gold): 1.27 points
3. Gitcoin (21.34 points)
The task here is aimed at users who have previously participated in Gitcoin donations. Users will be given different scores based on their level of participation in donations.
For users who have participated in Gitcoin donations, the scores given here are still quite high, directly exceeding 20 points. However, many of them are historical tasks and can no longer be completed.
At the same time, each address should correspond to one Github. If multiple addresses correspond to the same Github, they will be deduplicated.
In addition, if users want to earn points through Gitcoin donations, they need to do so during the 18th donation round, which is from August 15 to August 29. Donations made outside of this period may be invalid.
Number of donated projects (5.87 points)
1: 1.57 points
10: 2.3 points

Create at least one project in the Eco/Cause round of donations 1.18 points
4. ENS (2.45 points)
ENS is a domain name project on Ethereum, and it is relatively easy to obtain this score. As long as the user registers ENS and holds it, they can get it directly.
In addition, after registering ENS, you can also verify the tasks of another NFT holder, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
Currently, the annual price of one ENS is about 0.0082 (annual fee + GAS fee).
https://app.ens.domains
BrightID is a decentralized identity network that can help project parties confirm that users have only one account, and it is a unique account created by humans.
hsttps://www.brightid.org
To pass the BrightID authentication, we need to download their app, register successfully, and then attend the BrightID remote meeting.
https://meet.brightid.org/#/
The software used for the meeting is Zoom, and there are people verifying at many times every day. There are usually fewer Chinese meetings, and the host's Chinese is also relatively poor.
After the meeting starts, the host will provide QR codes to all users and ask questions to each participating user one by one.
Video conferencing is designed to prevent users from participating repeatedly. If you have participated and authenticated with BrightID before, the repeated authentication may be detected.
6. Proof of Humanity (1.21 min.)
A real-person authentication system that requires users to submit personal photos and videos and associate the photos and videos with your wallet address.
These photos and videos used for verification will be publicly displayed on the official website. If you care about this, you can choose to skip the verification.
https://proofofhumanity.id/
After entering the official website, click "launch app" in the upper right corner, then fill in the relevant information in the "submit profile" at the top, and submit your own photos and videos.
The user needs to read the following sentence in English in the video:
“I certify that I am a real human and that I am not already registered in this registry”
7. ETH (9.16 points)
Gitcoin Passport will also give different scores based on the amount of ETH held by the user, the number of transactions, and the amount of GAS consumed.
Although ETH gets a lot of points in this item, the cost is also not small.
Number of holdings (4.33 points)
More than 1 ETH: 1.79 cents
More than 10 ETH: 1.27 points
More than 32 ETH: 1.27 points
Number of transactions (2.43 points)
First ETH transaction occurred 30 days ago: 1.16 points
Having at least 1 ETH of trading volume: 1.27 points
GAS consumption (2.4 points)
Spent at least 0.5 ETH in GAS fees: 2.4 points
8. Snapshot (4.23 points)
Snapshot is a voting tool where users vote on project proposals, which is considered a representation of real users, so scores are allocated here.
Voting more than 2 times: 1.41 points
Create a proposal that has been voted on by others at least once: 2.82 points
To vote here, you can enter any community and find their proposals to vote, as long as the proposal has not expired.
https://snapshot.org
The score for creating a proposal is very high, and it is worth doing. You need to use a wallet with ENS to create it. If your secondary account does not have ENS, we can set the wallet without ENS as a core member, so that the secondary account can also successfully create a proposal.

9. GitPOAP (1.54 points)
GitPOAP is a contributor recognition platform that integrates POAP issuance into GitHub. Unlike the previous poap verification, which only required holding for 15 days, the new GITPOAP is a platform that is no longer used, but Gitcoin has given it a corresponding score.
Therefore, users without GITPOAP can no longer pass the verification, and users no longer need to waste money to buy POAP.
10. NFT Holder (0.69 points)
The wallet only needs to have 1 NFT. If your wallet does not have NFT, you can go to mint.fun to mint an NFT for free.
https://mint.fun
Users need to have traces of interaction on both zkSync lite and zkSync era. If your wallet has not used zkSync yet, you can try it.
It is recommended to cross-chain from the main network. If the exchange directly withdraws funds to the corresponding chain, verification may not be completed.
zkSync Lite:0.4分
zkSync Era:0.4分
12. Lens (2.45 points)
Lens holders can get 2.45 points, which is not a low score. Previously, the price of lenses has remained high because they were not open to the public. Now that some invitations have been opened, the price of lenses has dropped from more than 200 U to around 30 U.
If your budget is sufficient, you can also buy a lens directly.
13. Gnosis Safe (2.65 points)
Gnosis safe is a multi-signature asset management platform, which has now been renamed Safe. As a smart contract wallet running on Ethereum, it requires a minimum number of people to approve transactions before they can occur.
Here the user needs to be the owner of this multi-signature wallet, or a signing user. Therefore, we need to create a safe multi-signature wallet.
First open the official website of safe:
https://app.safe.global/
Switch the network to the Ethereum mainnet in the upper right corner, click "Create New Account", fill in the relevant information, and confirm with your wallet.
We can also set our other small accounts as signers, because here both the owner and the signer can pass the task verification and get points.
14. Coinbase (1.35 points)
Coinbase is a compliant exchange in the United States. Users with a Coinbase account can complete the verification here and get 1.35 points.
To register a Coinbase account, you can directly click verification on the Gitcoin Passport verification interface, and you can register a new account in the pop-up window.
Please note that your account may be blocked during the registration process due to problems with your device and network environment. Make sure your environment is safe and clean.
15. Guild (2.067 points)
https://guild.xyz/explorer
Guild is a cryptocurrency protocol for creating and managing decentralized crypto communities. The platform is designed to help projects interact with user groups, where users can participate in various tasks and earn characters, NFTs, and other rewards.
Gitcoin has 3 conditions for Guild verification.
Join 5 or more Guilds and obtain 15 or more roles: 0.689 points
Guild owner or administrator: 0.689 points
Have at least 1 Gitcoin Passport Guild role: 0.689 points
The first two are not restricted, any role in any guild can do it, but the last one requires joining Gitcoin Passport's own guild.
https://guild.xyz/gitcoinpassport
To obtain the official Gitcoin Passport Role, the following conditions must be met:
The wallet was registered before April 1, 2023
Mainnet holds 0.03 ETH
Gitcoin Passport score is over 20 points
16. Hypercerts (0.689 points)
https://hypercerts.org/
Hypercerts are public welfare certificates invented by Protocol Labs that can trace and authenticate someone's contribution to something. Gitcoin requires holding at least 2 Hypercerts for more than 15 days.
If you have participated in Gitcoin alpha and beta donations before, you can check whether you have Certs. If you don’t have Certs now, you can’t reapply for them.
17. PHI (2.83 points)
https://quest.philand.xyz/
PHI is an identity visualization project on the Polygon chain. The requirements for Gitcoin certification include two:
Silver level 65000 points: 1.67
Gold level 1500000 points: 1.16
It is also very simple to obtain points, you just need to complete the corresponding tasks in PHI. For example, holding ENS can get 1500 points, and minting an NFT in a mirror can get 500 points.
18. Holonym (4 min)
https://app.holonym.id/issuance
Holonym is a privacy protection passport for Web3, allowing users to perform anonymous verification. Its verification method is also relatively simple, currently including mobile phone number and ID card. The ID card here can be an ID card, passport, driver's license, and mobile phone numbers also support Chinese mobile phone numbers.
Verification was free before, but it has recently started to be charged. Each verification requires 0.005 ETH, and an SBT on the OP chain is generated and sent to your wallet to prove your identity.
Please note that Gitcoin requires at least two verifications to be completed within 15 days. Therefore, after you complete the Holonym task, you will not be able to pass the verification and get the points immediately. You need to wait patiently.
19. Idena (9.9 points)
https://app.idena.io/home
Idena is also an identity authentication system. Unlike the above authentication, it has its own chain and token. Gitcoin has many requirements for Idena, including identity status, token staking, and identity duration.
The first is achieved by completing enough real-person verification tasks, the second requires staking their tokens, and the third is the duration of the identity.
Idena's verification is basically Flip, i.e. flip verification. For example, in the following picture, throwing garbage, picking up garbage, picking up Coke, and drinking Coke, the picture on the right has no logical problems, so the picture on the right is selected here.
In addition to the above tests, there is also a picture-text match, which will give you a piece of text and a selected picture. If you think the two are related, click "approve", or if you think there is no connection, click "report".
The test includes three modes: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Each task is divided into many small tasks. Verification requires waiting. The next verification time is in the lower left corner.
As for token staking, users need to mine to obtain tokens. The mining method is to make a picture test similar to the one above.
20. Civic (5.5 points)
https://getpass.civic.com/
Civic is a digital identity verification platform. Gitcoin requires three types of verification:
CAPTCHAT verification:1
Uniqueness verification:2.25
Liveness verification:2.25
Uniqueness verification requires users to upload a video to prove that they are real people.
CAPTCHA verification is relatively simple, and users only need to pass the CAPTCHA verification code.
Liveness verification also requires users to upload videos to verify that they are real people. The above operations are not difficult, but they require real KYC, which may be a difficult part for some users.
21. Summary
Web2 account verification tasks are generally simpler. For example, accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn can be registered directly. If you have a large budget, you can try to use old accounts. On the one hand, the account is more stable, and on the other hand, old accounts will give more points, such as Twitter's two-year-old account;
Real-name authentication tasks are more difficult, and there is no way to authenticate immediately. If you care about your personal information, you can give up some of it.
Some tasks require money but can significantly improve your score. If the cost is within an acceptable range, it is recommended to do them appropriately, such as GTC staking, ENS domain name holding, Lens, etc.
Some on-chain interactive tasks can be performed when GAS is relatively low, which can save costs. Generally, GAS is lowest between 2 am and 10 am Hong Kong time.
