What is an airdrop?
This is a donation of tokens to reward investors or participants in an activity.
The activity in question may be sharing on the social networks of the platform doing the airdrop, to promote it (as with Saakuru Labs) or staking certain coins on the platform's network (as for example by the Binance Megadrop).
What are the conditions ?
Have a wallet that can access Web3, such as Binance Web3 or Metamask.
And the winnings?
They can be interesting, especially when no investment is necessary and they are highly anticipated currencies.
In other cases, they can be disappointing (I will not talk about the HLG airdrop again, the coin having also been in free fall for a few days...)
As with any coin, find out about the project and the potential usefulness of the token and the platform.
Also be careful about potential scams that can be hidden behind an airdrop (notably the famous rug pull, or you will lose your investment with nothing in return).
Personally, so far, only the Megadrops have really been worth it for me. The other airdrops were either disappointing (HLG, Radiant...), or were desired (Saakuru).
But what works for one does not necessarily work for the other.
