On August 4, Revolut, a financial technology company headquartered in the United Kingdom, announced that it would suspend cryptocurrency services in the United States. The decision, influenced by the changing regulatory environment and uncertainty in the U.S. cryptocurrency market, will come into effect on September 2, 2023, after which time U.S. customers will no longer be able to purchase cryptocurrencies on the Revolut platform. Revolut will implement more comprehensive restrictions starting on October 3, 2023, when US customers will be completely prohibited from accessing cryptocurrencies through Revolut.
