nWay, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, will release Web3 multiplayer fighting game Wreck League in September, Foresight News reports. For its first season, Wreck League has struck a deal with Yuga Labs to use the Bored Apes IP, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club and Otherside Kodas IP. Players can collect mecha parts (NFT) and assemble them into complete mecha character NFTs.
nWay will also launch a Web2 free-to-play (F2P) version of Wreck League that does not require NFTs, replicating the core gameplay and combat mechanics of the Web3 version and adding F2P game features such as daily missions, a battle pass, and an in-game store.
