As you all know, the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) was created to promote the common interests of the EOS network and community participants. One of the issues facing the community was that Block.one, the creator and original seller of ERC-20 tokens, failed to fulfill its promise to invest $1 billion in the EOS network and community. The EOS Network Foundation, on behalf of the community, has engaged with stakeholders to ensure that Block.one is accountable for its promises.

Community members can participate in the effort in three different ways:

1. In the United States, a class action lawsuit has been filed against Block.one. The lawsuit is currently in the process of settlement. James Koutoulas is the plaintiff's attorney in the lawsuit. In this US class action lawsuit, if you wish to file a claim or opt out, you can contact James Koutoulas by email at james@koutoulaslaw.com to express your request. The deadline is August 23, 2023.

2. Nemesis venture capital < https://nemesis.vc/> is interested in reaching a settlement with Block.one on behalf of community members who are not participating in the US class action lawsuit. If you are interested in participating in this avenue, you may need to opt out of the US class action lawsuit mentioned above.

3. The EOS Network Foundation is exploring another possible avenue: filing a claim against Block.one in the Cayman Islands. If you are interested in participating in this potential option, you may want to opt out of the U.S. class action lawsuit mentioned above.

Crucially, the proposed settlement of the U.S. class action will release Block.one from all claims asserted against it, unless you opt out of the settlement. If you do not assert a claim in the class action and do not opt out, any claims you may have against Block.one will be released. If you opt out of the U.S. class action, you will not receive anything from the settlement of that claim, but you may still participate in other claims against Block.one. Opting out of the U.S. class action does not guarantee that you will be able to assert any other claims against Block.one, or that such claims will be successful.

The above avenues may not be all the options that can cause Block.one to assume its responsibilities, and participating in any of the above avenues does not necessarily mean that you will recover any monetary compensation from Block.one. The above content provided by the EOS Network Foundation is for reference only and is not a recommendation on what actions community members should take. We recommend that you consult your legal advisor to obtain legal advice that is more suitable for you so that you can better exercise your rights against Block.one.
