The Web3 social protocol Lens Protocol officially released version V2 during the Ethereum EthCC conference in Paris, focusing on openness and composability, benefit sharing, trust and security. Users can now execute external smart contract operations directly in Lens publications. At the same time, Lens V2 has added the ability to interact with smart contracts within social media.

New third-party contract operation permissions: including adding whitelist functions, minting NFTs on Sound.xyz (Ethereum mainnet), minting NFTs on Opensea (Polygon), etc. New asset management functions: including delegating operations to any wallet, that is, users can use other wallets to perform operations, not just a single wallet; storing profiles directly on hardware wallets and using them in another wallet; the new version supports storing DAO or community profiles on multi-signature wallets and using them from one or more addresses. This ensures the security and access control of profiles and allows multiple addresses to be associated with them, etc.
