Fantom founder Andre Cronje said in response to user questions on the forum that Multichain's failure was a "major blow". Previously, the Multichain team had made many guarantees regarding server decentralization, access and geographical distribution. All options are being explored and working with relevant organizations to restore the assets, possibly even using funds from the Foundation. No confirmation can be made until more data is available. But we won't let this go and we will do our best to compensate everyone. In addition, Fantom will continue to work with Circle, Tether, TrueUSD, Binance, etc. for native issuance and review native bridging infrastructure rollups. When more verifiable information becomes available, we will propose a plan of action. Andre Cronje also stated that the foundation and all staff have exposure to these assets.
