Dapper Labs announced its third layoff decision, calling the 51 talented employees and C1 contract staff who lost their jobs "great colleagues and friends." CEO Roham Gharegozlou admitted that the decision was difficult, but emphasized the necessity of the cuts to ensure the company's efficiency and streamlined operations. Despite the layoffs, Gharegozlou noted that Dapper Labs and blockchain platform Flow are in a strong financial position. The layoffs represent 12% of the company's total workforce, following previous declines of 22% in November 2022 and 20% in February 2023. These layoffs are in tandem with the broader downward trend in the NFT market and trade.
