[Nexo fights co-founder for $12 million in crypto assets in company wallet] Golden Finance reported that crypto trading platform Nexo is fighting a co-founder in a British court for $12 million in missing assets. Nexo said the co-founder took the company's cryptocurrency hardware wallet with him when he left. According to a court ruling of the High Court of London on June 27, Nexo and its co-founder Georgi Shulev are arguing over the whereabouts of the Ledger hardware wallet containing some of the company's crypto assets. Shulev left Nexo in 2019. The legal dispute has been going on since 2022. Documents show that earlier, the two sides had been fighting for control of a BitMEX account that was opened by Shulev in his name but on behalf of Nexo. Since Shulev was fired by Nexo in 2019 and lost access to his company email, he and Nexo have been trying to take over the account.
