According to the Daily Planet, at the first hearing held at the Seoul Southern District Court, lawyers representing Terra co-founder and former Chai Corp CEO Daniel Shin asked Judge Jang Seong-hoon to give him more time to prepare his criminal defense. Daniel Shin did not attend the hearing in person, according to the Chosun Ilbo.
The court has approved the request and set a date for the second hearing on August 28. Prosecutors are frustrated with the continued delays. The judge said, "We will review the counsel's comments and reopen the trial preparation date to decide on defense opportunities and the order of questioning."
