According to the Daily Planet, the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) updated its guidelines for crypto funds investing in cryptocurrencies, stating that the current Bitcoin and Ethereum markets "can best support the operation of public crypto funds without compromising investor protection" and that Bitcoin and Ethereum are currently "the only crypto assets accepted as investments by public crypto asset funds."
The CSA also said that with more institutional support, other crypto assets may also become suitable investments for public crypto funds in the future. According to CSA data, as of April, the net assets of 22 public crypto funds were close to 3 billion Canadian dollars.
