PANews reported on July 8 that according to CNBC, US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. listed a brokerage account in his June 30 financial disclosure report that held between $100,000 and $250,000 worth of Bitcoin. The document stated that the gains from holding Bitcoin were less than $201, but did not specify when and by whom the Bitcoins were purchased, nor did it specify the initial investment amount. In May of this year, Robert Kennedy Jr. announced at the 2023 Bitcoin Conference in Miami that he would accept Bitcoin campaign donations, but said he was not an investor. A few hours after the CNBC report was published, Kennedy's campaign manager, former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich, said that the Bitcoin was purchased by Robert Kennedy Jr. after his speech in Miami and before June 30.
