PANews reported on July 7 that according to IT Home, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted on Threads that Threads has attracted more than 30 million registered users since its launch on Wednesday night. Zuckerberg also communicated with many users on Threads about the future development of the platform. When asked if Threads would be bigger than Twitter, Zuckerberg said: "It will take some time, but I think there should be a public communication application with more than 1 billion users. Twitter had the opportunity to do this, but it hasn't done it yet. I hope we can do it."
It is reported that Threads can now be downloaded in more than 100 countries and regions including the United States and the United Kingdom, but due to privacy regulatory issues, the app is not yet available for download in the European Union. However, Meta has stated that the company is seeking to make Threads available in the European Union market.
Earlier yesterday, it was reported that Meta officially launched Threads, an application that competes with Twitter.
