Fraudsters are becoming more cunning and using new ways to steal your funds.
I recently came across such a case on telegram. I subscribe to the Binance community channel and often communicate with guys there about cryptocurrencies and binance in general.
A girl from the group wrote to me with the usual questions about coins: where is the best place to invest, in my opinion, and what activities are there on the site. Then there was the usual chatter on various topics about life and all sorts of nonsense.
A week later, she casually mentions a certain friend who is a partner of the exchange and he participates in closed downpools receiving coins at a price lower than the market price by 50-70%. And now she’s already telling us that we can get these coins too, we need to submit an application to the official Binance address and then an answer will come. She gives a text that does not arouse suspicion, but before sending it asks me to send a screenshot (!) to make sure that I did everything correctly.
This was the first call that something was wrong.
And now we come to the very essence of the deceptive scheme. When I sent her a screenshot (ostensibly for verification), she gave my e-mail to my accomplices.
And so you send a request to the binance address with the text about participation in this “closed launch pool” - the system will automatically answer you “We will consider your request, thank you for waiting.”
After this, scammers enter. They make a fake letter with a fake address (supposedly from binance) with the text that you are admitted to this “launch pool” and you need to follow the link and sign a contract.
Do not click on such links under any circumstances. It’s better to contact support again and ask a question.
In my case, I contacted an angel in the official binance telegram chat (people who help the exchange and the community) and they explained to me that this is a scam scheme and there are no closed launch pools.
I am attaching a screenshot of the letter from the scammers. Be carefull!
