According to Reuters, decentralized video sharing site BitChute is seeking to complete a $10 million Series A funding round at a valuation of $750 million to $1 billion. The new funds will be used to build new features that allow users to live broadcast and pay content creators.
Bitcoin investors Patrick Dai and Matthew Branton have invested in BitChute and jointly acquired 60% of BitChute’s shares. The long-term goal is to achieve decentralization based on blockchain, and users can decide whether to conduct content review.
