On November 18, 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo launched his first ever NFT collection exclusively on Binance. Find out what happened, and also read the announcement of further plans.

It has been seven months since soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo made his NFT debut on Binance. On 20 June 2023, Ronaldo broke another record by scoring the 838th goal of his career in his 200th international match. Let's take a look at a unique blockchain-based digital collection to bring the football legend's legacy to his fans.

The first Ronaldo NFT drop, released in November 2022, included seven premium figurines divided into four rarity levels – Very Very Rare (SSR), Very Rare (SR), Rare (R) and Common (N), as well as a separate the Mystery Box collection, which were distributed as an exclusive gift to new Binance users.

From celebrating CR7's unique goals to his signature scissor kick, each NFT is an iconic Ronaldo moment immortalized in digital statuette form.

First drop stats

  • The NFTs auctioned on the November 18 launch day (5 SSR and 40 SR) sold out within 24 hours at an average price of $22,800 and $2,389, respectively. 

  • 600 rare and 6000 common NFTs were made available through our subscription mechanism between November 19 and 23, 2022. The sale of both rarities was oversubscribed (R by 4.43x, N by 3.18x) and sold immediately after subscription closed.

  • New Binance users who registered with the code "RONALDO" unlocked free Mystery Boxes with a surprise NFT "CR7". These digital collectibles came in the form of special CR7 figurines in an exclusive Stone colorway.

What were NFTs supplemented with?

In addition to a stunning CGI statuette of Ronaldo's legendary moment, each NFT came with exclusive privileges and benefits. For example, here's what SSR level NFT holders got: 

  • Virtual meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo.

  • Binance physical figurine and soccer jersey both autographed by Ronaldo.

  • Free NFT from the upcoming collection.

  • A ticket to participate in merch draws from Ronaldo and Binance.
