Iran's First Vice President Mokhbar recently announced that the cryptocurrency mining regulations approved in 2019 have been revised. The newly revised regulations stipulate that crypto miners should obtain special permission from the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and obtain a license for importing equipment from the ministry, and the equipment must be approved by the Iranian Standards Organization before use. In addition, electricity and gas bills must be paid according to export tariffs, and operations must be halved in the summer.
