Episode 5: Notebook Labs vs. zkPass

Guest judges

Yibo Ling, chief commercial officer of Binance, Robby Yung, CEO of Animoca Brands, Azeem Khan, head of fundraising and partnerships at GitCoin, and Guy Turner, co-founder of the CoinBureau YouTube channel, decided the fate of these projects .

Notebook Labs

“Web3 (and DeFi in particular) can change a lot of things in the world. But for it to be adopted by as many people as possible, it must be made much safer. We need more accountability and identity infrastructure in place. » – Solal, Notebook Labs

Notebook Labs is a compliance infrastructure provider that enables institutions to trade, borrow and lend in the DeFi space.

Nathaniel, founder of Notebook Labs, was the first to take the stage and introduce us to his company's institutional grade solution for digital asset trading. Using his well-crafted roadmap, he also asked the public to contact him to join the team as a developer.

The founder clarified that the project had a small but solid team. While he fears the size of the team will be a barrier to any scale-up, guest judge Guy was fascinated by what he considered a “good product”.

zkPass

“I gave you several pieces of information about my identity: my name, my position, my company, my diploma and my school. But how can you be sure this information is accurate? asked Joshua from zkPass

zkPass is a composable identity solution that leverages a cryptographic protocol known as Zero-knowledge attestation to create the infrastructure for a decentralized network.

Joshua, the co-founder of zkPass, launched into his presentation with confidence. At the end of his presentation, the audience seemed fascinated by the composable identity protocol proposed by his company and based on data from Web2 and Web3. Among the panel of judges, Yibo praised the rigor of the presentation and asked a question about the competitive space of the solution.

And the big winner is…

Notebook Labs : 256

zkPass : 540

Bravo, zkPass !

With a major difference of 284 votes, zkPass secured a resounding victory thanks to a brilliant presentation and its promise to improve security in a decentralized society.
