The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has suspended FTX Australia’s financial services license until May 15, 2023. ASIC said in a statement that FTX Australia can continue to provide limited financial services related to the closing of existing derivatives contracts until December 19, 2022.
It was previously reported that at least 30,000 Australians were affected after FTX filed for bankruptcy. FTX Australia creditors plan to hold a meeting next Wednesday (November 23) and are also being told not to deposit any funds or execute transactions. (The Block)
