There are five stages that every beginner must go through to become a professional trader. These stages are:
Unconscious Incompetence: At this stage, the trader is aware of his own lack of knowledge and skills: He may have heard of trading and think it sounds easy, but he doesn't really understand the market or how to trade effectively.
Conscious Incompetence: At the stadium, the trader realizes his own lack of knowledge and skills. They start to learn about the market and how to trade, but they still make a lot of mistakes.
Desperate Moment: At this stage, the trader suddenly becomes aware of the market or his own trading. This understanding can be affected by a loss, a gain, or simply by reading something that makes them think differently about trading.
Compete Consciously: At this stage, the trader gains the skills and knowledge to trade effectively, but still has to think consciously about what he is doing. They still can't operate on autopilot.
Unconscious Competition: At this stage, the trader has become so adept at trading that he no longer has to consciously think about what he is doing. He can trade on autopilot and consistently make profitable trades.
It is important to go through all five stages to become a professional trader. This stage is important to build the foundation of understanding and skills needed to reuse.
