Floyd Mayweather is going to jail
How he managed to steal millions in NFTs
Crypto scammers, we see them everywhere
They steal a few thousand dollars and go away
Some go further and steal a few million
What if I told you a celebrity scammed more than $35 million…
“That’s impossible”
It actually isn’t, and here’s how it happened 👇
Most of you must be thinking: who did this?
Floyd Mayweather
But how?
Now that’s a long story
Floyd NFT story starts in August 2021
He launched his first collection: Floyds World
At first everything looked normal…
Just a regular 10k collection

Floyd was promoting the project on his social media
He even did this iconic video promoting the project
“Do you feel committed to the project?”
Floyd: “400%, I’m all the way in”
*Proceeds to delete tweet a few hours later. After that everything went downhill Floyd simply start deleting his tweets on his project
As simple as that, and he walks aways with 4.9 million dollars
But his surely wasn’t his last time
In April 2022 Floyd decided to launch another collection: Mayverse
10k 3D avatars inspired on him

The collection only minted 147 NFTs out of 10k, getting him around $100k
If sold out Floyd would profit more than $5M with it
This one didn’t succeed
This is the story everyone know. Floyd the NFT scammer But this wasn’t his first time
A few years ago, he and another celebrity promoted a project…
After some time the project scammed 30 million dollars
Let’s explore this 👇
It all happened in 2017
Floyd and Dj Khaled signed endorsement contracts with Centra Tech

This company sold cryptocurrencies back in 2017 And our good friend Floyd, started making posts about it
For a few months everything looked fine But in 2022 the company was charged with fraud
The founders were arrested in April 2022
And everything after they stole $32 million from investors
The question now is
Is Floyd just a unfortunate guy that promoted bad actors?

Or did he deliberately know that these were scams and the project was going to rug
A lot of celebrities who launched rugs cla
im it was the “dev” who rugged, not them
I want to know your honest opinions, what do you think?
