Bank of Beijing has received a notice from the Digital Currency Research Institute of the People's Bank of China that it will access the central bank's digital RMB system as an acceptance service agency, becoming the first city commercial bank to do so. With this access to the central bank's digital RMB system as an acceptance agency, Bank of Beijing will accelerate the construction of digital RMB acquisition scenarios, cover a wider customer base and more payment scenarios, and build a "digital currency bank."
