An event pretending to be "Uniswap's First Asia Summit Forum" in Shenzhen, China. The video is not an official event at all, and a fake Uniswap CEO was present. It attracted the attention of Uniswap officials, Uniswap real CEO Hayden Adams, and the Western community. The media Foresight was even named by on-chain detective ZachXBT for misreporting this news, and Foresight later apologized.
Pirated Uniswap Shenzhen Conference Outrageous: Fake CEO Public Speech
The Twitter account @thegrasscrown uncovered a video of the Uniswap pirated conference held in Shenzhen, China, which vigorously promoted the UNI token and falsely claimed that this was "Uniswap's first Asian regional summit forum". It also included a speech by fake Uniswap CEO Mike Hanlon ( The real official CEO is Hayden Adams). Not only that, there are also many members with Western faces, as well as speeches advocating buying coins, etc., explaining the token economy that is completely different from Uniswap. The exaggerated behavior made Uniswap officials dumbfounded.
Since this fake Uniswap is promoting content with a MLM profit-sharing mechanism, dForce founder Yang Mindao said sarcastically: "It seems that their token mechanism is more creative than the official one."
Video of people in Shenzhen, China shilling $UNI irl with titles such as “The first Uniswap Asian Summit” and “Guest: CEO of Uniswap”

Real CEO of Uniswap: That’s crazy, who are these people?
Hayden Adams, the real CEO of Uniswap, retweeted the video and said, this video is so crazy, I really don’t know who these people are. But it must have nothing to do with Uniswpa and the Uniswap Foundation. This must be a scam.
Video is nuts. No idea who any of those people are.
Def not associated with @Uniswap or @UniswapFND
Assuming it’s some sort of scam https://t.co/mVoutiKsvR

On-chain detective ZachXBT calls out Foresight false positives
On-chain detective ZachXBT directly named the Chinese media Foresight and asked why there is a complete promotional release of this event on Foresight’s website. You can see that in the screenshot provided by ZachXBT, Foresight has reported on the Uniswap Asia community and also provided the website of the fake activity.

Foresight explains and apologizes: Third-party column has been deleted
Foresight responded: "We apologize to readers for the erroneous information about the Uniswap Asia Summit that appeared on our website. We have quickly removed the relevant content and related third-party columns. The style and quality of the third-party content were previously in line with standards on our platform, but later, the inaccurate information was published. Foresight News will now conduct a thorough review of all third-party columns and content and strengthen its content moderation and publishing processes to prevent this from happening again."
The dilemma of Chinese cryptocurrency media: advertising is the main focus
The Chinese currency circle media's opening up of third parties to publish content does have its risks, but it is also a common source of media profit.
Recently, China's technology media Shenchao issued a report commenting: "In a sense, there is no real "media" in the Chinese-speaking market, but more PR agencies disguised as media. At the same time, the content is becoming more and more homogeneous and high-quality. Original content is becoming increasingly scarce, and most of it is being transferred and translated by each other, and has become a promotional machine for project parties and exchanges. However, the relatively involuted content environment has also allowed various media to begin to explore their own characteristics and directions.”
