The BRC-20s helped achieve this mark in less than 1 month, following the explosion of popularity at the end of April. Ordinals have reached the mark of 10 million fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFT) issued and registered in Bitcoin, this March 29.

According to the Dune Analytics platform, at the time of writing 10,008,820 ordinals have been issued.

Of the total ordinals issued, they are: more than 9 million of these NFTs are in text format, 700 thousand in image format, and nearly 300 thousand in video and other formats. The peculiarity that more than 90% of all ordinals issued are of text type is due to the BRC-20 and its explosion of popularity. Every time a BRC-20 is issued or transferred, a new ordinal is issued, which is why they have increased the number of ordinal emissions. Another important point about this recent milestone is the number of BRC-20s that are issued day by day. Recent data shows that 4 out of every 10 transactions in Bitcoin are from a BRC-20. According to Dune Analytics, of the total 10 million ordidnals, 8.2 million are BRC-20.
