Nick Johnson, the founder of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) project, successfully implemented the project thanks to the grant he received from the Ethereum Foundation. ENS allows users to make their Web3 addresses human-readable, which they can use as a wallet for cryptocurrencies and NFTs and as a domain name for decentralized websites. Johnson said he was attracted to the project because of Ethereum's programmability and began working on the naming service after being hired by the Ethereum Foundation. ENS currently has more than two million address records, and Johnson stated that the service will focus on reaching networks that could benefit from the use of Web3 in the future. ENS aims to roll out Ethereum layer-2 infrastructure in the next few years and make the service more “plug and play” friendly. What do you think about ENS?
