Odaily Planet Daily News Ledger announced that it will postpone the release of the Ledger Recover (key recovery) function, and will not introduce this new feature before the code is released. It is reported that the Ledger Recover service splits the private key recovery phrase into three encrypted shards and distributes them to three custodians: Ledger, crypto custodian Coincover, and code custodian EscrowTech. If someone loses their recovery phrase, two of the three shards can be merged (pending ID check) to regain access to locked funds. This feature has raised concerns about privacy and security among some users.
