Popular Bitcoin payment app Strike recently announced its expansion to 65 countries around the world, spanning six continents. Strike CEO Jack Mallers revealed the news during the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami.

With this global expansion, approximately 3 billion people from various parts of the world will be able to use the application. Mallers highlighted that Strike has officially become a global service, providing access to its payments and transfer functions to a large number of users.

The company has placed special emphasis on reaching countries in Africa, Latin America and other continents, allowing people to make payments with each other using both the Tether cryptocurrency (USDT) and the Bitcoin Lightning network.

Regarding Latin America, Mallers presented a list of countries in the region where the application is already available. Among them are Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Peru. It is worth mentioning that the availability of Strike in Argentina was reported by CriptoNoticias in January of last year.

Additionally, as part of this expansion, Strike has made the decision to move its headquarters to El Salvador, in response to favorable regulations in that Central American country. Mallers explained that increasing regulatory pressure and lack of clarity in the United States were determining factors in this decision.

The CEO of Strike highlighted the importance of its initial objective of establishing a headquarters in El Salvador and reaching 3,000 million users. He noted that while two years ago this goal was a laughing matter, currently companies like Coinbase, based in the United States, are facing regulatory difficulties.

As for future plans, Mallers mentioned that Strike intends to partner with banks to facilitate access to financial services in fiat currency. This will allow us to offer a more complete service in the countries where the application is available.

The app offers the option to transact in US Dollars (USDT) or Bitcoin, giving users the ability to choose based on their preference and comfort. In addition, Mallers highlighted the importance of providing access to deflationary instruments to people who want to save and who are looking for more stable alternatives to the volatility of Bitcoin.

With its global expansion and focus on Latin America, Strike is positioned as an increasingly accessible and convenient option for users interested in cryptocurrency transactions and payments. #StrikeGlobal #PagosConBitcoin #ElSalvadorBitcoin #LatinoaméricaCripto #FinzasDescentralizadas
