According to an official statement, Bank of New York Mellon plans to integrate digital assets into all aspects of its business. Roman Regelman, CEO of Bank of New York Mellon's securities services and digital business, said that the bank is advancing a digital strategy that focuses on distributed ledger technology, tokenization and digital cash, and as customer demand increases, the company has begun to prioritize digital assets.
It is reported that Bank of New York Mellon has been committed to digital asset products. It began to provide institutional digital asset custody services to some investors in the fall of last year and appointed Caroline Butler as CEO of the digital asset department in February.
