Ethereum’s largest liquidity staking protocol, Lido Finance, has been upgraded to V2 and will allow users to withdraw staked ETH. The vote to approve the upgrade was completed at 1:15 a.m. today in the East Eighth District. Due to multiple security audits, Lido takes an extra month to process withdrawals. Key features of Lido V2 include support for liquidity staking users to withdraw from Lido at a 1:1 ratio. Staking ETH is an ETH derivative offered by Lido Finance. When users deposit ETH, they can obtain pledged ETH (stETH), which can then be used repeatedly as collateral in other DeFi projects. Currently, there are more than 6.1 million ETH staked on Ethereum through Lido, worth approximately $12 billion. (The Block)
