A judge at the Seoul Southern District Court in South Korea recently accepted the prosecutor's request for pre-trial preservation of the assets of Terra co-founder Do Kwon. Pre-trial preservation of assets refers to freezing the criminal proceeds or property of a suspect until he is found guilty. The court determined that Do Kwon's criminal proceeds were 233.3 billion won (about 176 million US dollars).
Since the court accepted the request, Do Kwon was prohibited from selling the commercial and residential apartment building "Galleria Foret" in Seongdong District, Seoul, the new office building in Nonhyeon-dong, and imported cars. However, its securities deposited in Mirae Asset Securities, deposits deposited in Woori Bank, and cryptocurrencies deposited in crypto exchanges cannot be disposed of. The request to recover and preserve other financial assets was rejected. (Korea Economic Daily)
