I stayed up late yesterday to read this book, and I felt it was very rewarding.
I love these books written by people who actually get results
I feel very much in agreement with this sentence, "Only long-termists can win the future."
Bellows made a point repeatedly:
"It doesn't matter what changes in this world. What matters is what remains unchanged. We must focus on those things that truly remain unchanged."
I used to think this way in investment. It doesn’t matter what changes in investment, because you need to catch it every time it changes. This is very difficult, and you can’t guess right every time.
What is really important are those unchanging laws, because only with unchanging things can you find the laws, and only by finding the laws can you use the laws.
When I read, I tend to read books written by people who have actually gotten results in the real world.
Whether a thing can be done and whether it can be done well, ask those who actually get it done.
The other category is books that have not been eliminated after hundreds of years.
People's time and energy in life are very limited. I think reading awesome books written by really awesome people is a shortcut.
