PANews reported on May 9 that Galaxy Digital, a financial services and investment management company focusing on digital assets, released its first quarter 2023 financial report, showing a net income of $134 million in the first quarter, turning a profit for the first time in the first quarter since the end of 2021. Revenue was mainly attributed to digital asset gains and unrealized investment gains, while net losses in the same period last year and the fourth quarter of 2022 were $111.7 million and $288 million, respectively. In addition, the company's asset management business, Galaxy Digital Asset Management (GDAM), managed assets of $2.4 billion, up 40% from the previous quarter and down 11% from $2.7 billion in the same period last year.
