Nigerian payments technology provider startup Nomba has raised $30 million in an oversubscribed pre-series B equity round led by San Francisco-based Base10 Partners. Helios Digital Ventures, Shopify, Partech, and Khosla Ventures also participated in the round.
Nomba, formerly known as Kudi, will invest in producing a payment solution that will allow it to fill gaps in its payment processes. The new solution is expected to help the startup operate more efficiently and provide a "superior customer experience." With an estimated monthly transaction volume of around $1 billion, Nomba has become one of the best payment service providers in Africa. (News.bitcoin)
