The small European country of Liechtenstein plans to allow citizens to use Bitcoin to pay for government services.

Liechtenstein Prime Minister Daniel Risch stated in a recent interview that "Bitcoin payment options are coming," but he did not provide a specific timetable.

Daniel Risch, who also serves as state finance minister, said that based on current planning, Liechtenstein is likely to accept Bitcoin payments in the future and immediately convert them into the official currency, Swiss francs.

This initiative is similar to that of Zug, Switzerland, where local people will be able to use Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) to pay fees and taxes as early as 2021.

In addition, Daniel Risch is also open to "national funds investing in Bitcoin."

Liechtenstein is a landlocked pocket country located in central Europe, between Switzerland and Austria. Although this small mountain country with a constitutional monarchy has a small land area and a sparse population, its national income level is extremely high, with a per capita GDP of up to 160,000 euros. It is famous for its beautiful scenery in the Alps, tax havens and high living standards.
