Christine Kim, vice president of Galaxy Research, published a summary of the 108th Ethereum core developer consensus meeting. Among them, developers agreed to consider incorporating EIP-4788 and EIP-6987 into Deneb for testing. EIP-4788 will enable consensus layer state proof on the execution layer for trustless verification through smart contracts.
Previously, PR#3175was in the process of being formatted as an EIP and will be changed to EIP-6987, which is to prevent slashed validators from being selected as block proposers for security reasons. Developers discussed introducing an additional variable and constant in the Deneb specification to allow the execution layer to have more flexibility to adjust the maximum number of blob transactions per block independently of the consensus layer.
Developers will continue to discuss this issue at the ACDE call next week. In addition, the transformation of the beacon chain proof subnet (attnet) was launched on May 4. Developers also discussed PR#317on the beacon chain API Github repository. (Foresight News)
