DeFi protocol DEUS posted on Twitter that one of the DEI attacker addresses (starting with 0xdf610228) has transferred 1,070,127 Binance-Peg Dai Tokens (worth approximately US$1.07 million) to a multi-signature address on the BNB Chain controlled by the DEUS team (starting with 0x7f5ae1d).
According to previous reports, the stablecoin DEI launched by DEUS was hacked yesterday, with losses exceeding US$6.3 million (involving Arbitrum and BNB Chain). The attacker obtained 1,337,375 BUSD assets from the DEI/BUSD pool on BNB Chain.
DEUS said today that they will not take any legal action if the funds are returned. This incident will be considered a white hat rescue, and 20% of the funds will be used as a bug bounty. The team also confirmed that the multi-signature address on BNB Chain is a multi-signature address controlled by the DEUS team. The team will publicly confirm after receiving the funds.
