Odaily Planet Daily News Terra Classic (LUNC) L1 Joint Task Force (L1JTF) team has recently upgraded its rebel-2 testnet to version 2.0.0. The L1JTF testnet v2.0.0 upgrade using Cosmos SDK v0.45 is an important milestone for the project as it introduces several new features that enhance its functionality and security. The Terra Classic community has also supported the project's revitalization plan. Till, a part-time developer of the team, said that this can also facilitate the transition of the Terra Classi mainnet to version 2.0.0. He revealed that only six validators (including takeBin, Lunanauts, Allnodes) participated and successfully upgraded. Some enthusiasts of the project (such as reXx) expressed concerns about the number of validators involved in the development, pointing out that the number should reach 30. After successfully upgrading the testnet, LuncBurnArmy, the project manager of the L1 team, has submitted a proposal to upgrade the Terra Core mainnet to version 2.0.0. According to the proposal, this version includes governance approval features for the Terra Classic blockchain, including a minimum initial deposit for governance proposals, Cosmos SDK v0.45.13, and Tendermint v0.34.24. This is the second major version to use the upgrade governance proposal mechanism to upgrade the chain. The proposal will stop the chain at block height 12,812,900 (or approximately 14:03:32 UTC on May 17). If the proposal passes, all full nodes and validators will need to install and run the upgrade version v2.0.0 in order to continue operating. (Bitcoinist)
