Digital bank Revolut launches cryptocurrency investment service in Brazil. The bank is making its first foray into Latin America in an attempt to tap into growing demand for crypto assets in Brazil, Revolut said in an emailed statement on Tuesday.
According to Revolut’s statement, there are about 10 million cryptocurrency users in Brazil. Revolut reportedly has about 29 million customers worldwide and is looking to expand into Latin America’s most populous country.
In Brazil, digital bank Nubank has around 70 million customers, firmly establishing itself as a market leader. Last June, Nubank launched crypto trading and reached 1 million users just one month later. (CoinDesk)
