On April 25, Coinbase's second-layer network Base announced that the Base Goerli test network will undergo a Regolith hard fork upgrade at 01:00 Beijing time on April 28. As the first upgrade of the Base test network, it aims to make the network more secure and reliable.
In fact, Base itself is designed for accessibility, security, and low-cost transactions on the Ethereum chain, and many crypto community users believe that there may be potential BASE airdrops in the future. If you are already an early user of the Coinbase Base second-layer network platform, how can you earn free BASE NFTs and unlock potential rewards?
First, let’s briefly introduce what Base is. Base is an L2 blockchain built by Coinbase on Ethereum’s second-layer network Optimism. The first step is to add the Base network to your MetaMask wallet
You can go to your MetaMask wallet and search for Base Goerli Testnet - click on “connect wallet” below Base Goerli Testnet - approve adding Base network permissions in your Metamask wallet.
Step 2: Claim some test ETH (gETH) tokens
At this point you need to access and copy your ETH wallet address, then paste the copied address into the search bar, click OK to get the ETH in the test network, and as long as you approve the relevant transaction in the pop-up window of the wallet, you will receive the test token gETH.
Step 3: Bridge your testnet funds gETH to the Base Goerli testnet
Once you’ve gotten to this point, you’ll need to visit bridge.base.org/deposit, connect your wallet to the site, and enter the amount of gETH you want to bridge in. After that, you’ll need to click “DEPOSIT ETH” and approve the transaction in your wallet.
Step 4: Deploy the contract on BASE and start minting NFTs
The main steps of this phase are as follows:
Visit: thirdweb.com/thirdweb.eth/TokenERC20.
- Connect your own wallet.
-Click DEPLOY NOW.
-Your wallet must be connected on the Base network.
- Enter the necessary details like Name, Symbol, Description & Wallet Address (see image below).
-Click DEPLOY NOW.
Step 5: Submit your contract address on Base quest
The main steps of this phase are as follows:
- Visit: quests.base.org.
- Connect your wallet.
- Click on START QUEST.
-In the second step, you will be asked for your test token contract address.
- Paste the address in the address bar (see the image below).
- Click on VERIFY TXN.
Step 6: Mint your NFT
The main steps of this phase are as follows:
-Once you have completed the steps above to verify the contract, you will see the option to mint an NFT on the next page.
- Click on “MINT NFT” and approve the transaction in your wallet.
- Done. You have now claimed your NFT.
Step 7: You can complete tasks in the guild to obtain characters in Discord
The main steps of this phase are as follows:
- Visit: https://guild.xyz/buildonbase.
- Connect your wallet to the guild site.
-Complete the tasks mentioned in the guild, such as following on Twitter, joining Discord, etc.
Step 8: Complete the basic training task of Layer 3
