OP Labs posted on Twitter that the final audit results of the Optimism Bedrock upgrade by the smart contract auditing platform Sherlock showed that the severity of the identified problems was medium and required minor adjustments. These problems will not pose a risk to cross-chain bridge funds, but in rare cases, they may pose potential risks.
OP Labs plans to scope and execute changes, announce a new consensus and feature freeze, and demonstrate two weeks of code stability before announcing the OP mainnet Bedrock upgrade date. OP Labs reminds that the upgrade date will be announced at least 3 weeks in advance through tweets, documentation updates, and node providers.
