The Bank of Russia is working on a bill that will introduce an “experimental legal regime” for the use of cryptocurrencies in export-import transactions. This was announced by the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina.

The country's government is also working on a bill to create a national agency for licensing and supervision of cryptocurrency platforms.

In addition, Nabiullina said that the bank plans to create special organizations that will be tasked with mining cryptocurrency and processing payments for cross-border trade transactions.

According to her, global decentralized digital assets and assets issued within the country will be used for cross-border transactions.
