Meta has launched its latest round of layoffs, targeting mostly technical staff. An employee affected by the move told CNBC that Wednesday's layoffs also hit its product teams, and Meta plans to cut business-facing roles such as finance, legal and human resources starting in May. According to LinkedIn posts, several people working as game programmers are also affected by the layoffs.

It is reported that Meta has laid off about 21,000 employees in two rounds of layoffs in November 2022 and March this year. (CNBC)
