The Russian Federal Tax Service has begun sending letters to cryptocurrency owners, requesting information about the ownership of digital assets and transactions, reports RBC-Crypto.
Letters are sent to individuals who made transactions with cryptocurrencies during 2022 and 2021 and filed 3-NDFL declarations. According to the information confirming the requests, which the editors have reviewed, the documents are asked to be presented urgently.
In addition, it is reported that representatives of the Federal Tax Service call and ask for information about some transactions. The requests concern declarations that have already been submitted, which are filled out incorrectly, or in the absence of documents confirming income and expenses.
