The US National Institute of Standards and Technology is studying Trust Wallet for iOS for a vulnerability as it could potentially be used to steal funds from crypto wallets.
From this, attackers can systematically generate mnemonics for each timestamp during the applicable time period, and also associate them with specific wallet addresses in order to steal funds from those wallets.
The Trust Wallet team has already published a public response to publications about the vulnerability in the crypto wallet; the developers say that the vulnerability, which is being investigated by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, was fixed back in 2018.
