The details of the violation show that according to the "Tax Collection and Management Law of the People's Republic of China", the unit should withhold and pay individual income tax on behalf of employees when issuing travel subsidies and other benefits to employees. Inspectors have served Beijing Bitmain Company with a "Notice of Order to Correct within a Time Limit" (Beijing Tax Inspection Fourth Limit Gai [2022] No. 9) in August 2022. So far, Beijing Bitmain Company has failed to withhold and pay the above individual income tax totaling 16.6458 million yuan.
