A couple of casual thoughts before the U.S. market opens

Let’s finish reading the U.S. market numbers first, then decide whether crypto is following along.

No guessing price levels today—just looking at numbers that are already in.

S&P 7,377 (5-day -2.68%, Yahoo)
Gold 4,075 (5-day +3.41%, Yahoo)

Transmission: The U.S. Dollar Index is still strengthening, up +0.40% over 5 days, while BTC is up just +0.17% over 24h. This isn’t loose liquidity; it’s a move of its own, and I’m skeptical it will last.

BTC 76048, 24h volume: 0.38 billion USD. ETH/BTC 0.02946. ETH is down -0.20% over 24h, underperforming BTC at +0.17%; the exchange rate is 0.02946. Funds are contracting into BTC, so I’d wait and see before moving into altcoins.

Looking ahead: Next, watch whether the 10-year yield can stabilize. If yields keep climbing, I’ll treat rallies in growth stocks and BTC as retracements.

My position: waiting on the sidelines. Prices haven’t picked a direction, and leverage hasn’t paid off. Opening a position now would be working for the exchange.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. I won’t fill in missing numbers.
When meme coins aren’t outperforming BTC, are you still holding them?

Useful fact: The dot plot shows each official’s individual projection; it isn’t a decision on the next meeting.
Inspiration: BTC fast-lane fees are rising: on-chain activity is there, and spot may be steadier than futures.
