Futures market watch: two reminders and one reference

Before price speaks, leverage should keep quiet.

Futures only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 76004, 24h 75571-76037, change +0.13%.
2. BTC open interest notional: 7.29 billion USD, 24h -0.48%
3. Overall account long/short ratio: 3.07

My take: The funding rate is 0.0041%, close to zero, and the long/short ratio is 3.07. Leverage hasn't picked a side. If it hasn't picked a side, don't use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution range (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Breakout zone: Only consider chasing above 76,612; below that, it's a false breakout
- Buy on a pullback: 75,092-75,548; don't buy if it breaks below
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 74,636, skip this trade

My position: watching. Price hasn't picked a side, and leverage hasn't paid up. Opening a position now would be working for the exchange.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing numbers are left blank.
Would you dare to add to your position at this funding rate?

Useful tip: Liquidations happen in a queue; they aren't your stop-loss price. When the queue gets clogged, slippage makes up the difference.
Food for thought: Open interest falls while price moves sideways: reducing positions isn't accumulation; the market hasn't paid for a direction yet.
