Market moves, earnings, technicals—let’s discuss them separately today.

Don’t use last week’s rate-cut story to explain today’s market.

These macro figures are current prices, not a look back:

Dow 51,286 (5-day -0.94%, Yahoo)
VIX 25.64 (5-day +21.23%)
S&P 7,377 (5-day -2.68%, Yahoo)

So: the dollar is relatively strong, up +0.40% over 5 days, while BTC is -0.01%—moving in the same direction. Don’t talk about a reversal before the dollar turns around.

Crypto: BTC 75988 (-0.01%), funding rate 0.0048% (8h, Binance USDⓈ-M). ETH at -0.19% is tracking closely with BTC at -0.01%; the exchange rate is 0.02949. There’s no independent move, so don’t bet on altcoins alone.

The VIX is now 25.64. Once it gets above 18, I cut my futures position in half. I’m not going to argue with the US market’s closing price.

My position: waiting. Prices haven’t picked a direction, and leverage hasn’t paid off. Opening a position now means working for the exchange.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily data (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left out.
When memes aren’t outperforming BTC, are you still holding them?

Useful takeaway: the dot plot shows each official’s individual projection; it isn’t a decision on the next meeting.
Food for thought: if your position is down while the price is flat, reducing your position isn’t accumulation—the market hasn’t paid you for picking a direction yet.
