When I first got into this, I couldn't understand why everyone was watching round-number levels. It took me a while to realize: the levels themselves aren't magic; it's just that everyone watches them and places orders around them, so price tends to react more noticeably when it gets there.
Indicators may fail, but risk management shouldn't be absent: thinking ahead about what to do if you're wrong matters more than getting the prediction right.
