【Fear Index at 28, Yet BNB Holds Its Ground: An Unusual Signal Emerges】

On-chain sentiment is still stuck in fear territory, but BNB is holding near $697, up slightly over 24 hours and down just 1.2% over 7 days. When I trade, what I fear most is market-wide consensus—that often means there’s no liquidity. But when fear stops making new lows while the price holds steady, that gets interesting.

I expect BNB to trade sideways with a bullish bias over the next 7 days, for three reasons: the market is fearful, but the price is holding up, creating a positive divergence; there’s support around 679 and selling pressure around 711, so a range has taken shape; and trading volume is low, suggesting selling pressure isn’t heavy—but also that breakout buyers haven’t arrived.

In practice, this isn’t just a price game. The real competition among exchange ecosystems is for users, trading access, and recurring revenue. Whether the BNB ecosystem can retain users and keep its apps in use will determine its long-term value. The short-term trading range is just the market’s answer for now.

What would prove me wrong? A high-volume drop below 679.11 would mean the bottoming signal was false. If the price breaks above 711.53 and holds, I’ll have to abandon my sideways-trading outlook.

Do you think this is a bottom forming, or a low-volume grind toward a top? Let’s come back next week and see who got it right—no pretending you knew all along.

What’s my call? ➡️Sideways
